Guided by Compassion: His Holiness’s Blessing and Drokpo’s Ongoing Mission

September 2025 marked one of the most meaningful moments in Drokpo Nepal’s (Drokpo) journey. On September 11, we had the profound honor of receiving a blessing from His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama at his residence in Dharamsala. It was a moment that filled our team with peace, purpose, and a renewed sense of mission.

The timing felt deeply aligned. As Drokpo celebrates over 20 years of service, this blessing came as quiet recognition of the hearts, hands, and hopes that have sustained our work for two decades. It was more than symbolic—it reaffirmed our path and our commitment to the Tibetan and Himalayan communities we serve.

From September 11 to 13, our pop-up tent store at the Tibetan Youth Festival in Upper TCV School was filled with color, stories, and connection. We shared our products, craftsmanship, and mission with the community. Visitors didn’t just browse. They listened, asked questions, and carried our story forward. Their interest reminded us that purpose-driven work creates energy that connects people beyond words.

Many who discovered Drokpo for the first-time expressed surprise and admiration. Conversations with other like-minded changemakers were filled with mutual respect and inspiration. These exchanges reinforced what we have always believed: real change begins through genuine human connection and shared values.

Milestones like this invite reflection. We look back with gratitude for the lives touched, the lessons learned, and the growth that came through challenge. We also look forward—with clearer purpose, deeper humility, and a steady belief that our work matters more than ever in a world searching for compassion and balance.

With His Holiness’s blessing, we continue our work grounded in care, sincerity, and community.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to:

• The Tenshug and Youth Festival organizers for creating such a meaningful event.
• Every visitor who stopped by our booth and connected with our mission.
• Our community, team, partner organizations and supporters over the past 20 years.
• And most of all, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, for his compassion, timeless wisdom and service to humanity.

In addition, Drokpo was honored to take part in the first-ever Tibetan Youth Tenshug, a lifelong prayer offering to His Holiness the Dalai Lama on behalf of more than four thousand youth worldwide. We hold this experience close to our hearts and carry it forward as an inspiration for the years ahead. As His Holiness reminds us:

Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.” – His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama
